I'm an OCD research everything type of Mama. And I've been out and about with my son and other Mother's ask about the products I use. I'd like to use this blog to share my journey on this road called Motherhood. And share amazing products I use.
My top three things (as a Mama) I cannot live without. *
Uppa Baby
I'm the kind of person who likes to maximize my dollars. And when I was expecting I'd ask every parent I saw what kind of stroller they had. And I'd always get the same answer, "You're going need at least two". And it didn't make alot of sense. Why buy two when you can buy one that suits all of our needs? The UPPA baby is fantastic and met all the criteria I required.
- Big Basket (Mama likes to shop)
- Easy to collapse
- Lighter weight (25.5 lbs)
- Options for second or third child (Rumbleseat adaptor and Piggyback adaptor available)
When the babe first arrives you have the option of using the bassinet** or the car seat (you'll need the adaptor). But if you have a nosey baby like I do, you'll ditch the bassinet at 7 weeks and go straight to the stroller seat.
* *they also sell a stand to hold the bassinet. You could potentially use it as a sleeper and make the cost of this stroller more price effective.
OXO Candela Tooli
This was a gift from a dear friend and a New Mommy. When I was assessing all my baby shower loot I wondered why this gift? This was ideal in those first few weeks of Mommyhood. You're likely co-sleeping or that sweet baby is in a bassinet right next to your bed.
New babies make all kinds of crazy noises while they sleep. The Tooli serves as a fantastic night light. Most Mama's use their cell phones. But I found my Iphone to be too bright and always woke him up. And when we were nursing it was perfect for seeing what was going on without waking up the Mister or having to leave our bed.
Baby T is in his own nursery now. So it serves as a great night light. Perfect distraction to hand the kiddo when your trying to change his diaper at 4 a.m. Keeps him in that sleepy mode with out fully waking them up with brighter lights.
Motherhood is all about eating your words. "I'll never do XXX". Umm yeah I was that Mom. One of my many Mommy Motto's is Never Say Never! So when I received pacis as a shower gift, I put them in the returns pile. But as luck would have it my son NEEDED one. He was constantly sucking after nursing sessions. He needed something to help sooth. MAM pacis worked best for us. BPA free, (eco friendly!), super cute designs!
They make glow in the dark paci's too! I cannot tell you how amazing it is to find one of those suckers when your sleep training and the kids is squaking up a storm.
Visit MAM's Facebook and like them to receive a $2 off coupon (expires August 31st!)
*There are lots of things you will need but these three I've used since his birth. Other things come and go but these are my go to's daily.
